If you had a super-wriggly, bored in 5 minutes, sleep-fighting baby who smiled and giggled at everyone....

What kind of child did they become?

He's now seven. Incredibly outgoing and friendly (invited the cable man to sleep over the other day!!!), still wriggly with the attention-span of a fruit fly (unless on the pc or video game ), drives us and his teachers nuts but we all love him to bits (teachers too) as he's the nicest person possible. Even when he's wriggly. So don't worry too much!!!!!

Aw thanks. DD is so different from DS it's hard to imagine what she'll become!

sounds like my 9 week old DD

will have to report back to you!

Alicious · 12/12/2009 21:17

Sounds like mine too! Now he's nearly 2, joyful, full of energy and impossible to wear out! People always say he's adorable though-just hard work!

Personally I find him great fun and I wouldn't want him any other way!

3 now.

Very mischevious.

Very bright.

Very sociable.

Very tiring.

Very everything, nothing done in half measures!

Very adorable.

Mine is 7 now.

She's clever. Quick to learn and articulate. Quietly confident - happy in her own abilities but doesn't make a big song and dance of them. Caring. NEVER stops talking or fidgeting. Skinny as a rake, on account of never stopping moving.

Good at drama, climbing trees, gymnastics. Terrible at singing.

Still prone to being over-anxious in unfamiliar situations and a bit of a mummy's girl.

Sparky!

Just thought of a better way of describing my ds, like a younger version of Ben from outnumbered sitcom?

Ineedsomesleep · 13/12/2009 09:29

Smithagain think you've just described my DS

teameric · 13/12/2009 09:51

My DD now 3, she is like the duracell bunny!
She's annoying, demanding ,impossible , mischevious, wants everything yesterday ,has the attention span of a gnat and can't sit still for longer than 5 seconds.
She's also happy, funny, friendly, sociable , bright, imaginative, loving and completely beautiful and I wouldn't have her any other way

my ds has just turned 7. As a baby he was exactly like that and exhausting. He has just started to calm down a bit in the last 6 months !! He is really annoying and other kids at school don't like him, but all the mums think he's lovely! He swings his arms around constantly and accidentally hurts other people and he's dead clumsy and hurts himself bashing into things/tripping up etc. He is really clever but is finding it difficult to concentrate at school as he is easily distracted. He doesn't have ADHD or anything he could sit thru a film at 2 years old, he's just got loads of energy and his brain is in overdrive too. I would advise that if it is our first child don't have another for a while!! These types of kids are high maintenance !

Picante · 13/12/2009 12:08

Gosh. Sounds like a tiring but rewarding few years ahead then!

Thanks guys!
