The appointment is for this afternoon, but i have to go to college this evening and am worried about leaving her if she is going to be poorly. Will have to re-make the appointment if i think she's going to be poorly as i cant really miss college.

Neither of mine had any problems with any of their jabs. I made sure we came straight home afterwards and I kept any eye on them but they were fine. I did have them in the sling which calmed them very fast, TBH once they were out the surgery it was like it had never happened.

I'm impressed you're at college with a baby . I was still in chaos at 8 weeks!

No reactions from DD. Cried like I have never seen her cry before, but once we got back to the car, she was smiling again which helped me to stop blubbing too

DD2's now 4 months so has had several sets of jabs now and no ill effects. She slept better than usual after the first set which was an unexpected bonus!

Bear in mind that Calpol is no longer recommended after jabs as it reduces their effectiveness.

No problems with either of mine either. Both screamed blue murder at the lovely nurse but were quite happy 2 minutes afterwards.

No reactions from either of mine - the nurse siad they shouldn't have any reaction as they are not 'live' viruses (like the MMR is).

Why would Calpol reduce the effectiveness of the jabs?

DS just went to sleep for hours. Then he reacted 48 hours later, generally miserable really for a day or so. He did that with all the ones with HIB.

DD1 nothing ever; DD2 has had 2 sets and seems to get a bit of a fever each time; however, one spoon of calpol magic seems to sort it. Just have some calpol in and am sure will be fine.
