I would go to your GP for advice and perhaps a referal. Whilst your HV may be right, they are not experts in this sort of thing.

Go to your GP. Sounds like something that needs attention and a referral. Good luck x

I'd also take him to a chiropractor... gps don't always have the right answers.

I think you should ask your HV to make a referral. If her leg is weak she may need physio and certainly needs checking out properly to check hips are ok etc.

Sounds like positional talipes? Caused by the position of the foot in the womb? Doesn't always need treating but a doctor needs to decide - def go to your GP - anything vaguely medical and go straight there and bypass your HV. A good (ish) HV should always tell you to go to your GP if worried anyway.

ds was diagnosed with talipes when he was born - his right foot was bent inwards a bit (I think theres a picture on my profile)
The mw spotted it and we were referred to a physio - she gave us some excercises and it was fine after a couple of months. The physio said it would have got better on its own tho.

hi there
new to posting so apologies for butting in. I m a physio. It would be worth your while getting a referral to a paed physio and paediatrician if you think this is a persistant problem - fro what you re saying you think there s a greater bowing of the leg/shin on one side rather than the other. It might be innocent so try nott o work yourself into a tizzy these things can often change with growth and muscles stretching out. However it s always advisable to get stuff like that checked out rather than leave it linger. good luck.
