Reward chart for ...mummy (good idea or not)

Had to laugh yesterday as DS got a piece of paper and copied what I do when I do his sticker charts, and said I have got one for you, for when you are a good boy mummy (fed up with telling him I am a girl). My first reaction was to think "No mummy doesn't need one", but having second thoughts as it might help him realise other things, what do you recon.

My ds once told me he would take my wine away in the evenings if I carried on telling him off... this was before I was pregant and on the wagon, obviously. He didn't get as far as making a chart for me but I knew what he meant

When I asked what I would get when it was all filled up he replied "you can come in my bed and watch monsters with me, that will be a treat wont it mummy". For the 50th time this month a treat was not what I would call it.

You could use it for your own benefit and as a teaching aid for ds too - you could give yourself a sticker for putting your things away, putting your shoes on, tidying your bed etc. and give yourself some sweets, glass of wine, bar choccy at the end of the day - ha may learn that he likes the look of this being good and putting things away lark.....

Doing this for a few days now and DS had had more stickers then me, cooking a good meal and reading him a story apparently are not worthy of a sticker, but putting on a pair of trousers is worth a sticker. I even got one the other day because I used the loo correctly and didn't have an accidents, mmm, but we are having fun with them.

I think it is fun. I often get a gold star on my shirt, or he breaks off some of his chocolate for me and tells me I am a good boy! If I think that I am getting too angryand shouting, then I say, "Mummy needs some time out!" and go to my bedroom to be alone for a few minutes!

Oh I've received a sticker or two in the last fortnight for sleeping until 7am (guess what ds's sticker book is for )
