my 18 month boy doesnt walk yet. i think thats partly because of a vertical talus that he had which was resolved through a very minor surgery (but which left him in a cast on one leg for a couple of months). strangely his foot doctor thinks that shouldnt delay walking.
He does NOT use his hands to eat anything; he doesnt speak yet (rarely says one word or two but always willing to communicate through a series of "eee's" and "o's". he will walk around a table once he is holding it for support. he will cry at mention of the work "milk" when he is hungry and recognises a couple of other words which are meant to encourage play. he races around the house in his walker but not too keen on walking if you hold his hand and encourage him. and he does not wave. Views pls? does anyone know of other children at the same stage with this behavior pattern?
any other advice/tips gratefully received. waiting for a neurologist to come back to town for an initial consult but thats a week away and need to talk about this!
many thanks
