Random first words

Was wondering what unusual first words your babies have come up with. DS2 has spoken what we are convinced are his first two words- come, and cubbe for cupboard. Not quite what we were expecting him to say (mummy, daddy, banana, perhaps), but as he's spent the last week being encouraged to crawl to a soundtrack of us shouting "come on", and sitting in front of the kitchen cupboard opening and closing it while DS1 tells him it's a cupboard, perhaps we shouldn't be so surprised!

"Chocolate" (or "cacklet" whilst pointing at the bar in the fridge and jumping up & down). Most shaming.

Apparently my Mum's first word was "flannel".

"Kettle!" Clear as a bell (and oft-repeated) from 10 months on. We have a whistle-y one and she obviously thought we hadn't heard it. I think I may drink too much tea.

DD's 3rd word (can't remember first 2 so probably boring!) was 'raspberry' (raaberry). We still have no idea why

One of DD's first words was "tacter" - tractor.

DD's first word was 'swim' pronouned 'sim'. She did spend a great deal of time in the water.

My first word was topic. Apparently there was an advert about the chocolate bar in the late 70s which was my inspiration.

Nice to know my first word was chocolate related.

DD's was 'door', followed by 'dog' with her pointing at the Andrex packet.

One of her first was 'Tesco' though

My friends DS's first word (or words) was "cup o tea"!!

ChocOrange05, are you my friend?! DS's first word was "tea" and first phrase was "cup o tea".

'Shoos'(shoes) not to be confused with 'shush' (juice) which was second word. Very confusing.

Asda was my DD's first word. she just loves going .

DD could say "Beth" (the neighbour's baby) months before Mummy or Daddy.

Dd's first word was orange, think ds's was something more predictable.

PMSL @ asda - ninedragons my dd could say 'onna' (her key worker at nursery was Donna) a good couple of months before she could get her tongue round mummy!

DD's first proper word was England! It was during the world cup 2006, the whole family was gathered in my mum's living room to watch the match, DD pulled herself up to stand, banged her fist on the coffee table and shouted "Ing-lan!" My dad has never been more proud

DS first word was twinkle (tinkuh) with sign after singing of twinkle twinkle little star.

Now also saying ni-ni (night night) though doesn't seem to matter what time of day it is.

Oh and Ooog is any cat (ours is called Ol and I think he thinks all cats are called this). He's going to get mighty confused when he meets his cousin of the same name

we have 'all gone' with actions...she picks up all the food I am trying to get her to eat, puts it back in the bowl...hands it back to me and announces 'gall gone'.
