Is it just me, or does anyone else measure their parenting success by how early or late in the day cbeebies is turned on?

Made it until 2.40 today for the first switch on - not bad!

I can beat you today! Not even on yet! admittedly ds is at his nannas for a few hours......(since his afternoon nap!)

LionstarBigPants · 25/08/2009 14:58

Well done!

I also try occasional TV free days (when we are not planning to go out too), and they leave me feeling quite faint. Though 'tis a blessing not having to sit through another excruiating episode of Me Too or Balamory

mumofeve · 25/08/2009 14:58

That's cheating !

oh, I hate balamory. and me too. my toddler called me 'honeypie' the other day

RoseBlossoms · 25/08/2009 15:10

cheat moi?

GoldenSnitch · 25/08/2009 15:12

Went on at about 8am in my house today.

I am 22 weeks pregnant, fat, achey, tired, sore, dizzy (from low blood pressure) and tired - yes I know I said that already but I felt it deserved including twice.

My 2 and a half year old is just too much for me today - I cannot wait for this baby to get here!

I am never doing this again!

bumpybecky · 25/08/2009 15:15

dd3 can switch it on by herself, so she does... as soon as she wakes up! it's normally on before I get out of bed

deaconblue · 25/08/2009 15:34

absolutely. I would be very proud if I got to 2.40! I have to ration myself and often measure it against outside time. So ds has been to a kids gym and to the park today so I convince myself tv can be on for longer

deaconblue · 25/08/2009 15:35

btw pre- 7am tv just doesn't count, it's essential for parental mental health!

Megglevache · 25/08/2009 15:36

LOL

Megglevache · 25/08/2009 15:36

LOL

mumofeve · 25/08/2009 15:58

Definitely agree with the pre-7am policy! TV is back off again, but will no doubt be back on within the hour! Can't cope with the 'I want to watch telly, I want to watch the telly, I want to watch the telly, just for 2 minutes, please can I watch the telly' etc etc etc
