Iam at a loss what to do our whole day is spent with her whinging, moaning and tantruming from gettin up to going to bed. So far this morning it took her 20 minutes to have a wee and wash her hands because she wanted me to do it for her, 20 minutes screaming because she didnt want toast, and a massive tantrum in which she hit me because she didnt want fresh orange juice - i have now put her in her room for timeout which i can hear her throwing things around in it. This is my average day now, please tell me its just a phase because i feel like walking out the door!

Poor you - testing times. What does she like doing? Can you use this as an incentive - ie - if you get dressed without a fuss, we will go swimming. My dd 4.5 and need loads of physical activities - she responds well to a sticker chart too...good luck

My DD is 4 and she can have days where she is a total pita!
I sometimes think I spend too much time with her. She does go to pre-school, but other than that I do see a lot of her cos DH works long hours.
Some days she is incapable of going to the toilet on her wn, putting her shoes on, eating her tea! Aaaaggghhh!
I don't have loads of ideas, just thought I would let you know that you are not alone.
I guess they are aware that things are hanging, they are starting big school soon et. and it is their way of trying to cling on to being little without actually realising what they are doing.
