I have a 6 year old DS who has a very limited diet. I have tried to get help through the doctors and NHS since he was a toddler, but no one seems to think it was serious. He has just started a new school and has settled in better than I could ever hope for. The problem is that most of the children have school dinners and he would like to have the same. But he will not eat it. Do you know of any private help i could get. Think its a good time to start as he wants to be the same as his new friends.

I have a fussy almost six year old, I decided to ignore her demands for snacks and her limited diet ,she is my third child and the only fussy one who doesn't like fruit or veg. She has started having school lunch one day a week and has tried different vegetables like cabbage . I think if your school is supportive that you should try to let your son have r school lunch, one or twice a week, you might be surprised that he will start to try different foods. Kids are very good at pulling on their parents heartstrings and quite often we give in because we do not want our kids to go without. Try not to make mealtime a battle and like my child you might find he grows out of it.
Good luck
ps if it does not work try the school nurse for support and guidance.
