DS 2 off milk!

Anyone have any advice to give on DS who is 2 and gone off his milk? He was drinking it from a bottle & has been off it completely for about 10 days now. I've tried different cups, he still refuses. The little bit of milk he has in his cereal is not enough for his daily requirements. I'm quite worried and don't know what to do?!?

the requirements at this age can be met through yogurts and cream cheese etc my ds does not drink milk and hasnt done for some time you can get cheese dippers yogurts that mount up to daily requirement

i can sometimes get ds to drink milk with nesquick banana milk shake mix

fortified orange juice, as long as getting protein and calcium in other ways i wouldnt panic too much about the lack of milk drinking my ds is very healthy eats well and gets all requirements in other areas

you can look up calcium rich foods im sure spinach turnip are so maybe make a little veg soup

I look after a boy who doesn't drink milk and he has a lot of cheese and yoghurt.
Do you drink tea? Can you give him a "cup of tea" mostly milk and hot water with a tea bag waved at the cup, might feel like he was being grown up?
Can you give him a tippy cup with water at all meals and snacks with no pressure to drink and then once he's got the hang of it you can try milk again?
Just don't make an issue of it as I'm sure you can get enough dairy into his diet in other ways.

Agree with bubblagirl. My DD went off milk at approx the same age and we just topped her up with yoghurts and cheese. She is 9 now and still eats dry cereal and won't drink flavoured milks.

My DS isn't a great milk drinker either. Don't worry - it's not a natural food for us after weaning anyway. No other animals drink milk do they? There are loads of ways to make sure he gets his calcium as suggested above.

Just thought, as a child we only ever had milk on cereal and a drink of milk was an occasional treat!

Thanks for the advice peeps. He's not a big cheese eater Tried the flavoured milk and he's still not having it! Even referred to it as "Tombleeboo Juice" and nothing! Am wondering if I should stop offering it for a few days then try again or carry on being persistent consistent?
