Anyone know about 'the wonder weeks' fussy phases and has a 2+yr old?

If you know about the book 'the wonder weeks - eight great fussy phases' then you might be able to help me. DD is perfectly described by the book but she is now 21 months old and the book doesn't go that far. She seems to be going through a fussy phase at the moment and I was wondering if anybody else had the same happen with their DC at about the same age? The thing is, we're expecting DC2 and the HV thinks that DD is displaying signs of anxiety about the baby coming along. I think that this may be part of it but DD really does seem to be going through a fussy phase/developmental spurt.

Sorry, I don't know the book so bumping this really.
(Though I do know my friend's 2 year old is also going through a really tricky patch and my friend is pregnant; her DD's being unusually disruptive/ unpleasant to my 2 year old and I think it's either the pregnancy or perhaps she's weaning too quickly (as still breastfeeding)) We're v sympathetic as she's finding it really hard.

Surely someone must know the wonder weeks book? [desperate emoticon]

It would help to know if it is a fussy phase as it means that she is trying to work out more of the world around her and I can help her through the phase differently to if it is anxiety about a new baby. I used to find it really helpful to look at the suggested games and toys for helping them through the developmental spurts at each stage in the book.

The edition I have mentions that the new Dutch edition goes up to 20 months. At the very back of my book in the postscript, it says "Before he reaches the age of 20 months, he will make two more leaps: one when he is about 64 weeks old, and another around 75 weeks." You might need to make friends with someone who speaks Dutch....

Hi, we found that book really helpful too with our DS. Just wanted to say that we definitely felt that the fussy phases and leaps continued noticeably beyond the end of the timespan covered in the book. I can't remember the details though, sorry. If you can just ride it out for a couple of weeks you might start to get a clearer picture.
