9 wk old suddenly reducing the amount she eats. Could it just be a temporary blip or should I be worried?

My 9 week bottle fed old daughter has always been a hungry baby and up till last week she has been drinking around 180mls each feed (5 feeds a day). I feed her Aptamil First with MAMs bottles. She is quite a windy baby, but trying Easy digest or Infacol in the past made her cry really bad so I stuck with the normal Aptimal which seems to work well (other than difficulty winding). Last week she suddenly started stopping drinking after around 100-140 mls and refused any more. I always used to burp her half way through, but now she won't have any more milk after this. She went through about 5 days fussing and crying. It seemed to be reflux so I gave her Gripe water which she hated the taste of, but it worked and settled her quickly. She still won't have more to drink though and can possit which she didn't used to do. She doesn't seem hungry more often and I'm not sure whether I am worrying too much or not? She is fine in herself and happy apart from this. Has anyone else experienced something similar? Any advice really appreciated, from a worried mum.

If she's happy the rest of the time then I would say she is probably just adjusting how much food she needs and there is no need to worry about it

My son did this at about 12 weeks, as did a friend's little boy. They would both fight, scream and refuse the bottle half way through a feed. We both tried everything we could think of but nothing seemed to work, until I moved to faster flowing teats. He got himself in a complete mess and got more wind than usual to start with (infacol helped) but then settled down. My friend's ds didn't get on with faster teats, but just started eating more when he was ready. I think it all coincided with them realising that there were other things going on in the world and eating just got in the way!
The important thing to remember is that if they are well in themselves eg responsive, smiling, sleeping normally etc then they won't starve themselves (so my hv told me). Any doubts, pop to the Drs and reassure yourself. Hope this helps!
