Could vitamins have improved DS' behaviour?

I'm convinced they have. He's been taking them for a month now and his behaviour is so much better. He stops doing something if I ask him to, apologises, seems calmer and is generally much better behaved.
His diet is getting better slowly, still a bit fussy but when he was ill we started giving him vits.
Dh thinks it's just coincidence and it's improved naturally.
Anyone else think they work or affect behaviour?

what children eat certainly affects how they behave and what they learn. I know from experience that taking the fish oil supplements can have a beneficial effect on their behaviour

I'll 2nd that purple. My ds2 has dx ADHD and he is tons better after 3 months of Omega 3,6,9 and vitamin supplements. The diet is also massively important - no preservatives, additives, sweetners etc and it's not a complete nightmare to do once you are in the swing of it. Honestly, I will never 'go back' IYSWIM.

My son has ASD. Changes to his diet and supplements have made huge difference. Actually life changing differences

I have just started my DD (12 ) on eye q capsules as she has no concentration whatsoever at school but really quite bright.

The capsules are actually quite foul (even the strawberry flavour ones) so what I do is pierce them and squeeze out onto a spoon and arm her with a glass of juice to take the taste away.

You can also get eye q in liquid form which is slighlty more palatable. Problemis you need to give them such alot to make any difference (at least to start with I have to give her 9 capsules a day at the moment reducing to 2 a day in three monhs time.)

I have also read that a lack of concentration can be due to magnesium deficiency.

I work with children and taking the eyeq stuff has helped lots of them

one little boy was a proper horror, I used to dread going to work when he was in, but his mum started him on this and we used other strategies and we built up a great relationship, he even says helo to me now, and he is in year 5, I worked with him when he was 2 till 4.
