My DD who is 3.9 has been biting for 6 months now. I've been trying to ignore it, but she's biting to the quick now. It's really bothering me as I know from personal experience it's a hard habit to kick.
I'm also worried that she's anxious about something.
Sorry no help but would be grateful for any advice.

My DD (7) has started to bit her nails. I asked her why she was doing it and she told me she only does it when she is sitting in her carpet space in school listening to her teacher talking. I have started her on ' Stop n' Grow' which you can get in Boots. It does give her a bitter taste but so far, it has worked. I used this nearly 30 years ago and gave up biting my nails at the age of 12. She puts it on every night as after 2 days, the taste is not that strong.

I suppose the only way to stop them biting / tearing is to distract them or give them something to do all the time. so they are not fidgety. Under 5's may be easier to distract but when in school, can be harder. I put it down to being bored.

I don't know what age this is for but the person in boots asked me how old my daughter is and when I replied 7, he said she can use it. Better check the age limit before buying.
