Is this his hormones?

DS is nearly 8.

Still cries, usually when he feels he is getting into trouble for something he hasn't done.

Earlier on told his dad he will not do what he was told, he hates his dad and he is the worst parent in the world.

DS1 has always been a rashy child and currently has one on his face, expect he might not be feeling 100% though is outside witrh his dad and sister on their bikes.

I am wondering when boys start having hormone and body changes and what and when I need to look out for them.

Bit of a mix post but hopefully it will make sense to someone!

Aw bless him. I'll bump for you nab, I'll need to know the answer in a few years!

He has just bit my head off because I won't let him read before lights out. Won't do him any harm to see that sometimes I don't give in.

Hormone changes start in girls at 7/8 years so it's probably the same for boys (?)

Sorry, dunno if it's hormones at 7, but if he has a rash and is a bit grumpy he may be going down with something or be a bit under the weather?

Why can't he read before lights out? I would have died if not allowed to read in bed!!!

NAB09 · 09/02/2009 07:47

Normally he can read but he was told not to say anything as his younger brother wouldn't go to bed if he knew the others weren't going straight to bed, and he said it twice. It is school today, I don't think he was 100% and a slightly early night was a good idea.

He actually went straight to sleep so I think it was the right decision and for once I meant what I said and didn't back down.
