When does the continuous crying stop

DS is almost 22 months and just seems to spend all his time crying (normally after a tantrum). It happens in the morning when I'm trying to get him reasdy, on an evening. He doesn't eat. He's not ill as he's only like this with me and DH - mum and MIL say when they look after him he's cheerful and never cries. I'm so tired of it.

it is an attention thing
you need to breathe and change the way you react to certain things

vague I know, sorry

but dd2 was like this

she just whined and whinged and screamed for no reason because I reacted to it

I dont mean I shouted but I went to her and tried to help her stop

you need to bake or something and find things to do and only take notice of him when he is bein happy and nice

Yeah, I think you're probably right. It's so tiring though. It starts when he's having a tantrum, then when I try to distract him or cuddle him he wants a feed and goes into meltdown.

Wow, that sounds like I have written that post about my 16 month old DS. Hes been like it since birth and I've come to the conclusion he is very highly strung! Cant seem to entertain him unless we go out, he gets bored soo easily and the slightest little thing will send him into a tantrum which leads to meltdown and then constant screaming until we go out.

When my parents look after him they say he is really good - how frustrating! He definitley plays up to me but I find it too difficult to leave him screaming on the floor. I guess they are so clever they know how to get our attention even at such a young age. I understand how you feel when you say how tiring it is; I just wish I knew what he wanted from me, its not like I leave him to play alone - I'm always sitting on the floor with him and never even bother trying to do housework until he sleeps!

I just have to try and convince myself that it wont last forever!!

DS doesn't sleep either.
grumble grumble

Sorry, that was sympathetic!
I think 22 mo is quite old to be like this, hopefully your LO will grow out of it soon. I also think it has to get batter when he's talking properly!
