Can anyone tell me where the volume control is on an 18m old girl?

She's just so LOUD!!!! Swear DS was never like this. DD seemed to discover her full vocal range a few weeks ago. Obviously we get full force when she's upset/thwarted but that's not so often and therefore tolerable - it's the shouting immediately to get our attention, or just for the joy of it that's driving me nuts. Tell me it's a phase please!

Is yours stuck on 'extreme volume' too? I don't know how to change mine but if you find it can you let me know?

Maybe is a fault with the girls range?

I do find ipods help. Stick it in and turn it up listening to Pink is slightly better than banshee like squeals.

Unfortunately, the volume control can only be accessed by the application of chocolate products in quantities probably harmful to health.

An unpleasant quandary.

oh don't mention pink, dd is 18 months and sits in the bath singing (screeching), so what, rock star, movies, alright. she is always loud and never stops talking, shouting and every thing starts with MUMMYEEEE

I have the same model. She's 19 months old and soooooooo much louder than her older brother.

nice to know we're not alone - but seriously, if anyone knows any useful strategies for this it would be wonderful!

You can always connect them to the TV for temporary relief, but that is supposed to damage the hard drive.

As per ladycorn, you can upload the dora version 1 application, but the configuration is never the same again.

Some people report huge increase in PAAWMW activity (Pervasive-American-Accent-With-Marked-Whine)along with detrimental anomalies in task scheduling.

I have a slightly older model (2.5) but the same fault!

Mary Poppins gave a brief amount of respite a few weeks ago, however everything she says now is sung to the tune of the song the children (Jane and Michael?) wrote about what sort of nanny they wanted

If she could stop going so long between recharges - and the volume often increases as the energy levels run low - it might help too I guess!
