Hi i'm new to mumsnet and so have no idea of the usual etiquette so excuse me if i have done anything wrong.

just wondering if anyone has any advice about what sort of beds i should get for my twin tods. i know 2 single beds wont fit in their room but should i get the extendable beds or the ordinary toddler beds.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can get some fab extendable metal beds at Ikea. My 5 yr old niece and 7 yr old nephew have them. One of them is fitted into a very small space. They come in black and white as far as I know.

i've seen those ones. do they last that long then? i suppose it would be worth paying a little extra if it means they will last a while.

Like this, but on the UK site. I accidentally searched the US site. Sorry.

I think they go up to a full size single bed length, so potentially until your child(ren) is 10 or 11 or older. I don't have any experience of that though- maybe somebody else will know.

Second the Ikea extendable beds. We have the wooden one and the metal one. The wooden one is quicker to extend, the metal one needs to be unscrewed to extend it - but apart from that it's just personal preference (and finances).

Oh, the metal bed does have higher side bits too which means toys and covers stay on the bed despite all the tossing and turning they do.
