My 2.5yo DD is playing mummy & daddy with her bears! I love watching her play!

Oh I am just so gushing. I have had two sips of wine so not because I am drunk. Yet!

She has two bears, 1 dolly. the bears are mummy and daddy and the dolly is baby pavlov.

She has got them naked, ready for bed, and has tucked them into bed on the beanbag, covered in her blanket, tapping their bottoms. She is asking them to sleep well, she has asked me to be quiet as they are all sleeping!

She then picked one up, think it was mummy, and said 'sshhhhh don't cry, don'y cry, not darkey, lights on, better? better? shhh shh'

She is making these little breathing noises she makes when she is concentrating.

She makes my heart melt.

She should be in bed, but I just do not have the heart to stop her fun right now!

What has your LO done to make your heart melt today?

Aww Pavlov that is lovely

In similar vein dd (3) has recently mastered a kissy noise (She has sn and severe language delay)As part of her Portage aims we are attempting to get her to do some imaginative play.Anyhooo she got a little people house for her birthday that she loves and today she got one of her little people ringing the doorbell on the house, then she put them through the door, got one of her other little people and got him to kiss the first one whilst doing a big lipsmacky kiss Oh I was delighted She also likes bathing drowning one of her dollies at the moment

Yesterday DS insisted that I made him a sling for his dolly so that he could be just like me with newborn DD. He then carried his 'baby' all the way to the park. I love all the imaginative play

Isn't it lovely when they show empathy? I am continually amazed that children this age can be so understanding and compassionate about relationships with people.

Shame we lose it eh?

That is so sweet!

I woke up this morning to hear ds1 'reading' Peepo to ds2, and then singing Knick-knack Paddy Whack to him to keep him amused (they share a room). And ds2 was giggling away as if this was the best thing ever.

Oh that sounds wonderful. I cant wait for DD to have a brother or sister so she can do that kind of thing!
