Hello- slightly concerned and ay well drop into clinic tmrw but I thought I would see what you think..

My dd is 1 next week and she is a very happy bright little thing, sleeps 13hrs a night, socialable a general joy to know... however she has developed a response to the word no or when I use my more sterner voice or when I ask her to do something.. it is involves smacking her mouth or straining (if she's standing at the coffee table or at the sofa it's almost like she is trying to lift them off the floor)

Don't get me wrong, it is a bit funny but it is disturbing to think she has thing anger!

Yesterday she started blowing kisses but now when she does it its hard to figure whether she is angry when doing them.

Is it her developing.. as she is currently learning to walk and to feed herself?

its her showing frustration, perfectly normal dont worry, but it will gte worse am afraid

I agree that it's frustration. They want to be able to do so much at this age and get frustrated when they can't. It'll get worse before it gets better but once they can talk to you and do more things physically it should ease a bit.

I wouldn't let yourself be disturbed by the thought that she is experiencing anger. Perfectly normal healthy emotion and one that will be a big part of her life over the next few years.

thanks ladies! I think it just upset me that she felt angry- stupid mother!!!

she is so funny though she is into copying a lot at the moment, I am pregnant with number 2 and still suffering morning sickness at 22 weeks, just had to make a dash to the bathroom and took dd with me she then lay on the floor afterwardspretending to mke sick noises! Kids just have love them

lol. we used to get angry tears when we said no. its now progressed to lying full length on the floor in protest, or doing whatever it was more. I try to avoid it through distraction as much as possible, also pregnant, but 39 weeks. eeek.
