Hey,

Should i be worried?

We woke up this morning, ate breakfast, had a bath. After ds bath he was crabby, and he was due a nap soon so i put him down. It was about 12 noon.
12.30 came, i heard a bang, when i went through, ds face was covered in 'chocolate', i made my way towards his cot saying 'where did you get that chocolate from?' as i got closer, the smell hit me, then i noticed his cot was COVERED, he was covered, and he had no nappy on.
So i dont have a clue how he got his nappy off. But it was face down on his sheets..stuck with poo, it was right through his sheet onto his matress, over his covers, on the wall, on the wooden cot, in his hair, between his toes, all over his tummy and back, in his hair, and he was chewing on it.. he had a handful.

I lifted him and put him right in the kitchen sink and cleaned him off, got his cot all sorted out.. fine!
But, he has been in his bed from 7, and he is just screaming his head off still. He never does that, usually as soon as his head hits the bed he is off to sleep.
DP has brought him through here with us and he still just crying, sobbing.
Could he be unwell from his accident today?

He'll be ok, honest, this happens way more than you want 2 believe.

My nephew did this (can't remember what age) and my SIL was horrified. Cleaned him up etc and that was it. No ill effects whatsoever. But call NHS direct for advice if you're worried - can't do any harm can it! Poor little man, at least he'll probably be fascinated to hear all about it when he's older!
