It will be good to find out if there is a problem or not but I am worried.

The doctor asked if she can talk yet, which she can and talks very well for her age. But now she has made me worry about what the problem could be....

My oldest DD didn't walk until she was 21 monthsshe didn't go in for the toddling stage but just got up and walked onee day. By that age she could talk like a 3 year old and said she wanted shoes like a shaun( a child we kmew).
at 3 she walked up a mountain with DH.

dd2 didn't dtart walking until she was 19 months (last month). She bum shuffled forever, hardly ever pulled herself up, never cruised, and didn't like to bear weight on her legs. We were referred to a paediatric physio when she was 17 months, when it was noticed that her feet roll in , one quite badly.

The physio, said that she had very soft ligaments, which apparantly is quite common, especially in bumshufflers. She recommended a pair of very stiff shoes, and pretty much from the minute dd had them on, she started walking (now I actually can't stop her, and am exhausted!)

Please try not to be too worried about a referral, it sounds like she is doing great (I have a friend whose dd is still not walking at 21 months, but physio said there was no problems), but if there was a problem, it would be picked up. Good luck

DS1 was 19 months before he walkied...when he did though he as off, no unsteady toddling. If she will walk to your mum and around furniture then prob nowt to worry about.

Maybe she walks to your mum mire because she is happy to walk FROM you...ie feels safest around you so is more trusting to try the walk.
