My DD is destroying the house...

She woke at 5am. I thought it was later than that, DH finally got up to see to her (my one lie in this week as been working all week so far unlike him aaaaanyway, thats another story). So, she screams 'noooooo not daddy, mama, maamaa, MAMAMAMA' and he gets grumpy. So I say come in DD thinking its like 6:30am or so. But no, its 5am. DH wont get up as 'he has to work today'.

DD is very tired. She has gone a bit wild. I am exhausted and struggling to handle her. I was meant to go swimming at 10am but she is being 'difficult' like she does when she is tired and won't enjoy it one bit so we did not go.

I have tried to keep her entertained, I have - made salt dough with her, she did mixing, rolling, pressing, squeezing, the kitchen is a mess but fair enough. We have done puzzles, built brick towers, watched cbeebies, read some stories (tried to).

DD has done the following:
tipped her chocolate milk over herself/floor.
Tipped all her bricks over the floor
Pulled all her bears out of their box and chucked them over the floor
Kicked the cats, shouted at them
Hit me in the face (not on purpose, out of excitement)
Put salt dough over the screen of the tv
pulled out al of the wired from the tv so everything stopped working (I was in the toilet for like 20 seconds).
Pulled the duvet and folded clothes off the bed in our bedroom.

She wont sit still, she is so overtired, she is really hyperactie. I have given her milk, put on a chilled film, covered her in a blanket, cuddled, sang soft songs.

She just will not sleep. I am feeling rather frazzled and she is being rather wild. So I am now on MN while she is in her bedroom next door with her 'baby sister' dolly shouting at her to stop crying .

I only know of one way to get her to sleep. The Car. Which means 1) I will drive round for hours while she sleeps 2) I have to find a way of figuring out how to get myself ready to leave the house without being able to leave her for more than a few seconds for fear she will destroy the house even more. This means I have to go out looking like a fright.

AAAAArgh

When DD was smaller I used to tell her it was nap time and get into my bed with her until she went to sleep.
Usually we would both crash out for a bit and then I would slide out before she woke up and got some jobs done duringthe peace.

Pag - DD wont sleep in our bed, almost ever (although she did a few days ago for the first time in a long time).

DD loves 'mummy/daddy bed' but just wont settle. We snuggle, she snuggles, then she gets bored and gets up. I have tried that, and will again if she does not sleep soon.

However, I have to go and get Dh from work soon, and we were going to go shopping, but I am NOT going anywhere near shops with DD! She will likely fall asleep in the car anyway and then, almost 2 hours screwed.

Also, last 3 days, DD has refused to nap. I am very worried she is wanting to stop her naps Noooooo!
