Dd2 is nearly 13 mths but I can't for the life of me remember what dd1 could do at this age. However, I have a sneaking suspicion dd1 could do alot more than dd2 can currently do (I think I treat dd2 as more of a baby than I did dd1). Also, whereas with dd1 I had lots of friends with babies of the same age now I don't know any babies the same age so can't compare this way. So, what can babies do between 12-18 mths?

Most of them begin to walk, start talking a couple of words, playing with blocks, dollies, pushing trollies along, emptying cupboards of their contents, generally causing chaos and keeping you on your toes.

Not a lot.
Walk.
Say a couple of words.
Use their hands to eat and hold a bottle to drink.
Crawl up stairs and carefully crawl back down again.
Climb onto dining chairs and walk across table.
make marks on a bit of paper using pen
turn a few pages of a book
brush their own teeth
smack you over the head with ahairbrush as they attempt to brush your hair
scream
fart and laugh at it
irritate their older siblings by ruining games and knocking down towers etc
eat playdough

Read Chaucer
Speak in cantonese and swahili
Ride a unicycle
Embrodriary

Only joking, my DD can
nearly walk on her own,
drink on her own
half feed her self with spoon
feed with hands
shake head for no
point at what she wants
give kisses on demand
empty cupboards
cuddle teddies
say a few garbled words
climb on all furniture and window sills
laugh when you (gently) tell them off
write own name
rollerskate

Cry
Throw pretty good tantrums
Empty cupboards
kiss teddies on demand
Wave when it suits her
Point at everything
Say 'Nooooo' when I want to change her nappy
Laugh when I burp
Walk
Crawl
Climb on bookshelves
Cry some more
Have more tantrums
