Will your four-year-old be signing his/her own Xmas cards to classmates?

Because I am intending to sign DS's for him. He's interested in reading, but writing? Nope. If I push him, there'll be an almighty fuss and it's just not worth it IMO. However, I'm feeling a bit edgy - because it's cards for the children in school and his teachers - that eyebrows will be raised if I sign his name for him when they know he can (just about recognisably and MASSIVELY) write it himself.

What d'you reckon?

Argh, here I am thinking 'nah, don't think I'll bother helping DD to send cards, we'll just do a big one for the class ...' and now I've remembered that DH has already bought the cards. Hm, her to write, me to write ... dunno. But I reckon if I get drunk and use my left hand I can do a really good impression of her handwriting without even trying.

Why do you need to?!!

I dont care what the posh alpha mummies thought of dd's potato stamp. She did it herself because she couldn't write but wanted to send cards, the thought was there!

I dont get this competitive parenting at all (shakes head)
