DD was bf untill 14months, and always drnk very little water or juice.

When I stopped bf I was worried that she was not drinking enough so gave her diluted juice so that she would drink more. But I then started to worry about her teeth even tho it was sugar free juice.

So I stopped giving er juice and tried just water but she only drinks when she really really needs to and I am worried she is not having enough fluids. She never drinks milk, unless it is milk shake but again I worry about sugar etc.

She loves drinking flavoured water which is sugar free but had artifical sweetner in it.

What does your dc drink if around a similar age?

Is she drinking plenty of milk though? Dh is 15 months and drinks almost no water, but heaps of milk. Doesn't matter where they get their liquids so long as they do get them.

no she doesn't drink any milk at all, only diulted juice or flavoured water

Really, I thought at this age they were still getting a good proportion of their nutients from milk? Do you not offer it or wil she just not take it?

But then Ds is a terrible eater, so is more dependent on his milk. Not being judgey or anything

she will not drink milk but i keep offering it every few days. And she eats really well so not worriedabout the nutrition side of things. just her fluid intake...

My DD doesn't drink milk either. She's 17 months.
I give her very watered down fruit juice (apple or grape). At first she didn't drink much at all and I was worried, but she didn't seem dehydrated. I also gave her sloppy food that had milk/water in like mashed potatoes.

She is getting a lot better at drinking now.

Just keep persevering, you'll get there

maybe I will try diluted apple juice as the flavoured water she likes is apple flavour.
