I don't feel fully qualified to answer this, but thought that seeing as no-one else has I would. My daughter had dream feeds (a feed sometime between 10 and 11pm, depending upon when I was going to bed) until she was 16 weeks old and my son had them until he was about 20 weeks old and both of them then went pretty much 7pm-7am and my youngest is having them still at about 24 weeks old. If you want her to go longer than she is then you could try it and see if that is the problem, or it could be that she is simply teething. The other thing to think about is when you are planning to wean her. I tried to hold out until 6 months with each of mine, but only managed until 20/21 weeks, which although earlier than suggested was when they were ready. If you are planning to do that sooner rather than later then it may be that that sorts it out. The one thing to think about when introducing a dream feed is that you may then have to wait up to give it, depending upon what time you introduce it and what time you usually go to bed. I hope that is some help! I hope whatever you decide, that it goes well.

so holly, is your daughter sleeping from 6 until 5 without a feed? are you worried that is too long or is she waking earlier? can i ask is she producing lots of wet and pooey nappies and gaining weight? if so, i wouldn't worry too much. you may find she still wakes at 5am anyway (what my ds did anyhow, woke at 3am regardless of whether or not i'd fed him at 11pm).
if your daughter is sleeping so long and thriving, i would suggest you keep going as you are! as long as they are getting enough milk over the 24 hours, it's all good.
good luck
ps i am not really qualified either, but i wanted to post. some mums seem to find the dream feed works well for them, but for others, it makes little difference

What is a dream feed?
It sounds like taking a sleeping baby and latching them on. But I can't imagine either of my two being able to feed when asleep.

exactly that otherside. done normally about half ten/eleven pm before mum/dad go to bed. aim is that the baby will have another tummy of milk to hopefully keep them going a bit longer/all night.
baby stays half asleep, you pick them up and start feeding them (they are so sleepy they don't even need winding after). i never thought ds would do it, but they do just latch on and start sucking whilst half asleep. great in concept if it works as no settling back down afterwards.

Thanks like sleep. My children are 5 and 3 now so not relevant but I have been seeing the term alot and wondering.

Still, I don't think it would have worked for us because they always used to wake at that time anyway!
