"Don't tell mummy and daddy"??

DD (23 months) said this a week or so ago. We were a bit puzzled, and can't think where she's got it from, other than maybe nursery - she goes 2 days pw. She said it again just before her nap today, and I asked her about it, but she's too wee to understand what it is I'm asking. She's a total parrot - repeats instantly and accurately things that she hears - or overhears - so it could be that she's heard it being said to someone else. i'm not worried about this - as my mum said, she's so little that she couldn't keep anything to herself anyway, and she's bright and cheerful, etc., but I just didn't like her saying it. Not sure why I'm posting - maybe just to get a virtual slap?

maybe someone has had chocolate and has been told not to tell mummy or daddy i owuldnt imagine its anything more than that if she is happy an ddoesnt seem upset then it probably is something as simple as that

She could also have got it from books. Those pesky bad influences.

On a positive note, might they have been making something to give to mummy and daddy? Not that September/October is a particular date for that stuff .

If there's one of the staff you could chat with, you could always mention it - but as you say, if she seems happy then there's almost certainly nothing to worry about.

Yes, I'm sure it is something totally simple and innocent - it just irked me, for some reason.

AMIS, that's what I thought most likely, but the timing is way out. Och, will probably never find out...
