...and my son does the same thing.

Except mine is much littler. but I am a bit worried anyway as he has a couple of 'red flags' already.

Is this a normal thing for babies to do or is it a bit odd?

here is the link

Thankyou

no such thing as 'just' a parent, as Jimjam said each child is different and you know your children better than any professional ever can, thats what i hated about being a special needs social worker, people (outside of situation) mainly MEDIA think we should know everything and when you have several families we just get chance to see children and their parents/surroundings for a little interval now and then and have to rely on the parents/carers really wherever possible. Thats why I quit and am starting uni TOMORROW! to retrain.... and very nervous about starting all over again

what are you training in? I just graduated a few weeks back, I loved being at Uni.

I kinda know what you means about beingg a SW because I worked as an Organiser )co-ordinator within a designation area) for HomeStart; we had a few familles with sn and we ran the same caseload system as SS. I gave it up when I realised what was happening with ds1- I was pg with no 3 anyway but I knew I might struggle getting too close.

I was looking at things like NF1 years ago and it would have been useful to actually see it. Likewise I was recently looking for info on movement disorders - seeing video would have been really helpful. I could hardly find any, although I did find some on youtube and some suggestions from people to put together a video bank.

Even severely autistic kids do that 'approval' thing - which is quite surprising in some ways, but they do.

spinspinsugar when you do it will you post a link? ds3 and I have suspicious marks (I have lumps too) an the Paed is deciding by ds4's check up whether to test (he has 3)

Another one taken aback at the idea children cannot be dx until 6. Should be apparent and dx and intervention started WAY before that. Ds started process of dx from age 3 and he is HFA.
