In any case regardless of the £28 on "cruising" shoes (which I have to say strikes me as a brilliant piece of marketing from Clarks) if you go for bare feet you get to see more of their lovely little toes and play many games of "This Little Piggy"

My DD is nearly 7 months and is now starting to cruise the sofa etc. I leave her with bare feet or socks etc but I have a cheap pair of shoes in the nappy bag for if we are out and she wanted to be standing on an unsuitable floor. In fact, they were from freecycle, and hardly used. I have just started to do this though and only because we were at lego land the other day and wanted to take photos of DD standing in the model village!! The floor was horrible though and couldnt do it properly as she had bare feet.

Definatly woudn't pay £30 for a set of baby shoes that will last a month or so!

Ideally barefoot as nature intended.

But life and babies conspire against you - my DD started walking in winter in a house with no central heating and slippery wooden floors. And she thinks it is hilarious to pull off her socks and hide them. An investment in a pare of Robeez (on sale) saved me a fortune in socks.

She is now in proper shoes but has spent the last two days barefoot running around in the sunshine.

My DD has barefoot for indoors and cruisers for when we go out. I don't see anything wrong with her wearing them when we go out or to her music group.....all the other babies her age (11months) are wearing them!
I don't mind spending 20quid for my daughter to look good......i'm not a tight ass!!

Definitely not. I didn't even buy proper shoes for outside when DS started walking - he stayed in his Bobux pair (like Robeez) outside until the weather got really bad.
