DD is 1 and will not go in the pram...

When I take her out she will go in the pram for 1/2hour max.

After that I either carry her everywhere (which I always do) or leave her in the pram to cry (she gets completely histerical).

I was out at a fair and had to carry her the whole time. Apart from when family members tried to hold her for a few mins at a time untill she cried and moaned because she wanted me...

She is so clingly and hates the pram, everyone says things like 'just put her in the pram and let her cry'. I hate the crying and can't do that in a very public place.

Also she has got a strong personality and will work her self into a state if I leave her there and cry so much she starts chocking...

And good advice out there? Anyone got similar problems??

The Loola streety looks quite nice to and is apparently alot bettr than the original loola although the seat has to be forward facing to fold but is easy avccording to reviews

sorry think this has been said...but not surprised she won't go in a pram - even sitting up in it her view of the world is not as good, must be v frustrating for her...

why don't you get a bog standard pushchair? a mclaren?

I had the same problem with my ds since birth.

We tried buggies, prams, travel system. Nothing worked.

At the end of the day, my ds just doesn't like sitting still for long!

When he was tiny before he could crawl, I litterally had to carry him around all day long as he wouldn't ever let me sit with him. He wouldn't be put down til he could sit alone.

The only thing that did help was getting a Loola which I have the seat facing towards me so I can easily give him toys and snacks.

It rarely works for more that 40 mins though.

If he's just whinging I try to distract him, then ignore it but if it's proper crying as you discribe, I never leave him for more than a few mins.

In my experience (it depends on the baby) leaving them to cry in the pushchair will only make them hate it more and won't make them suddenly enjoy being in there.

Ignore the comments from people who look at you like you're mad for pushing an empty pram. All babies are different. Noone should judge you. I got peed off with the comments too!

My daughter was the same - I was constantly pushing an empty pram and carrying her. Now she can walk it is a help. Otherwise I try to keep moving, keep talking about stuff we see, give her things to play with in the buggy etc, but when I stop she kicks up a big fuss to get out, and then runs as far away as possible. In the supermarket, I now buy the Thomas or charlielola magazine when I enter so she plays with that for 20mins, I then give her oranges/food etc, and try to spin it out so we can get around the supermarket. Sometimes it works, other times, like this morning I have to chase her down the aisles!!!! I get good at 'mixing it up' and try to go out early morning when she is more relaxed. She loves the bike seat though so biking is a better option.
