take him back to gp?

RubySlippers · 04/07/2008 09:27

maybe his throat is sore, or the swallowing is hurting his ears

i would take him back to the doctors

will he drink milk ?, full fat milk is full of goodness
it is worrying i know . my ds has some days where he seems to eat non stop , and then others, usually if he is tired or poorly where he hardly has anything. today is one of the latter.

always takes my ds about a week to get appetite back from being ill

normally offer things like toast bread and butter egg and soldiers

but if they genuinly have no appetite and not appearing to be really hungry give milk or yoghurts through day pureed fruit

if in few days still appearing to have no interest then take back

he will take milk. is full fat milk better than formula? he'll take any - which should i offer?

i think full fat is better , am not an expert, its just that its more natural

Seona1973 · 04/07/2008 12:35

If you already have formula then I would give that as it will have more vitamins, iron in than cows milk especially if he isnt eating much. If you have only cows milk then give that - it doesnt matter if he isnt eating as long as he takes fluids.

bubblagirl · 04/07/2008 14:14

i would agree to give formula if you have it as contains all nutrients and vitamins needed five full fat milk maybe before bed to give the fullness to settle for the night

as long as drinking then wouldnt worry to much just keep offering small amounts of food as i find my ds gets very wary of lots of food in front of him when he hasnt eeaten for few days so just few mouthfuls of something or biscuit and maybe try some toast but small amount at a time so he doesnt see one big slice or lots of pieces

hope he feels better soon
