It is her attachment object

She sleeps with him and carries him around with her a lot

Luckily she was so knackered she was palmed off with dd1's 'special' Teddy (bless dd1!) and a dummy and fell asllep straight away

I am DREADING her waking up and feel very sad

How could you?!!

If she wakes up and asks, perhaps say he is at nursery having a play with the toys there and will be waiting for her in the morning?

notnowbernard · 03/07/2008 19:19

She's 22m though, so can't really understand

She was holding it when we went in to collect dd1. She must have put it down during the putting on of coats and shoes drama

does she usually sleep through?

notnowbernard · 03/07/2008 19:22

Sometimes. But does wake up looking for Teddy or Dummy (which she normally finds herself then re-settles)

Oh shit

OH EVIL MUM ALERT!!! LOL! Just got my ds to settle with a teddy and I left it at 'stay and play' last week and had to drive all over town three hours later when it was nap time and I realised that teddty was no where to be found! Thankfully, they'd put him safely out the way and managed to get him back before meltdown from ds! Hopefully, you'll get teddy back before she really needs him and with a bit of luck, dd1s teddy will do for tonight!

methinks you need 2 teddies

Dd has bunnies of which we have 3. One at cm, one at home and one spare. Unfortunately she discovered the spare one and was ecstatic to find "nother" bunny It has been very well hidden now......

Luckily dd1 is at nursery tomorrow so will be able to pick it up in the mornng (God, I hope it's there!)

I think she's at an age where another one just wouldn't be 'special', IYKWIM. She is well and truly attached to him, he is all smelly and scuffed and chewed, and becoming a bit threadbare

Good old dd1 handing over her one

Couldn't you distress them or rough them up a bit?

I was thinking more of walking on them in mud and stuff. But a shooting gallery may just do it!
