Teenager addicted to gambling - any groups that might help?

I'm posting this message on behalf of a friend who has a 19 year old son addicted to fruit machines and has spent upwards of £100 per session on occasion. As he is over 18 and has been employed the bank have given him an overdraft facility and a credit card so he has had access to money. He knows he has a problem and wants to stop but there seems to be a lack of resources for young people who gamble. He has been to Gamblers Anonymous, but didn't feel that it was helpful for him as everyone else was much older. Does anyone know of any resources out there for young people that might be helpful for him - he lives in North London.

Thanks for your help.

That is a pity that he found gamblers annonymus not too helpful. There will be more than 1 gamblers annonymus in London. I am not sure who organises them over there, Sorry I am not from England and don't know what you have over there. If you find out who runs them, maybe call a head office somewhere, or just call a few of them and ask around for a young adults one. Failing that, you can always go and see a counsellor and if they are a good counsellor they will have a few numbers of places to try. I hope he finds something that works for him soon. Don't give up there will be somewhere.
