Can anyone explain this?
My dd (1 on Friday )has for several months enjoyed playing with an old squeezy bottle in the bath. She loved squirting us, being squirted herself and trying to catch the water in her mouth(!). For Christmas she was given an ELC set of six squirty bath toys, made of soft plastic, bright colours, different sea-related shapes. Again she seemed to love playing with them and as the toys are very soft squirting Mum was much easier and even more fun. For the last two nights she has screamed at the sight of them- won't have them in the bath, gets hysterical if she is squirted and won't even play with her much-loved squeezy bottle. I can't think what has happened to affect her this way; the night before this happened she was playing happily as normal. The only one of the set she does not appear to be frightened of is one that I found under her cot this morning. It had been there about a week, so does not appear to be associated with whatever scared her.
Any ideas?
