Blackout blinds.
double glazing or secondary double glazing
Cut back tree branches if possible and discourage birds.
Put her in a different bedroom or move her bed away from the window.

has she always done it? if so probably nothing will change this. Had the same with my ds1 for five years now and seven is the latest he ever sleeps and that is with consistent late/disturbed nights. We do let him entertain himself for an hour or so at the weekend though.

more or less yes, one time dd woke up at 8-30am but we were that worried we were already awake. i work nights so it is a pretty long day when i wake up at 5am to stay up til 8 am the next.
thought school would sort her out but no, dd is ready and dressed by 6 sat waiting to go to school

yes I have to say it's pretty crap isn't it! consistently not having the opportunity for a lie in has probably been one of the most difficult parts of parenting for us. Particularly when as you do, we have ds2 who sleeps for Britain but we don't get to feel the benefit!
