1 year old so bored when at home

My 19 month old was really chilled until she was about 12-13 months but now she just cries a good chunk of the time she’s at home, sounds like she’s in pain but then as soon as we go out or there is a novel distraction or visitor she’s absolutely fine again. She goes to nursery 3 days a week and they say she’s fine and happy all day there. Occasionally she’ll go off and play with her toys, we’ve got a decent sized house and some nicely organised toys. My older child was the same at that age but was in nursery full time and then I worked some weekends too so had plenty of energy and enthusiasm to be out and constantly entertaining him when with him (plus lots less to do around the house) but this time is just exhausting, anyone else’s one year old like this?

What are your days like wheb ots just the two of you OP? I used to have an activity planned fkr the morning, like playgroup, then lunch and a nap. We only kept two or three toys out and swapped them over whilst they slept. Tgis is a bit unusual i know but it seemed to help them focus on the toys better than if there was more choice.

During the week on the days I’m not working we have the school run then we go to a group on the
morning there’s one running, which we really enjoy and then tend to go home for lunch and shopping in the afternoon before the school run. There isn’t a group on the other day that I’ve found I like yet but will keep trying, that’s definitely the most difficult day. Tried to organise playdates but then one of the was always ill so efforts petered out and most of the mums I met at baby group are back at work. Weekends the older kids tend to want to relax so we end up staying home most of the day but do try to persuade them to go out for at least one walk and so this afternoon we had a nice hour at the park that they all enjoyed but most weekends have been quite wet and miserable for the last few months. We had a play date last weekend which made the Saturday much easier and a family visit on the Sunday but generally it’s just me and the kids, sometimes hubby but he’s usually working
