Ignore bad behaviour or use a naughty chair/step?

Hello,

My DD is just 2 years old and has turned into... a typical toddler. One who likes screaming. For instance if she wants something she will say it once, then if we don't respond fast enough, she will scream it. This kicks off a screaming fit several times a day.

My DH and I have different opinions on how to handle it - DH favours the naughty chair, I will say to her once that if she wants something she has to ask for it properly, then ignore her if she keeps screaming.

I have tried the naughty chair but didn't think it worked too well - she now knows she can get down and run off, also I spend half my day putting her on it! DH says I have to try it for a week or so until she gets the idea.

How do you discipline your LO? I really need advice!!

I don't do naughty chair/step. Just try to lead by example! Or things tend to get stuck in never ending circle of punishment. So when ds (also 2)screams at me, I say in placid way - it's not nice to shout. If he continues I just ignore/move away. Well that's the theory. Have fantastic screaming matches with my teens though.
