Jo Jingles or Kindermusik?

Hi all

I fancy taking my new-ish DD to one of these music and movement classes. Are they all much of a muchness or is one preferable? Not to worried about cost and I have both near me.

Thanks!

I have never heard of the second one. Jo Jongles did a party at nursery fun night, She was excellent.

DD goes to Jo Jingles and loves it. Not sure about Kindermusik as have never tried it.
Jo Jingles is run as a franchise system and I think a lot depends upon the franchisee and who you have running the classes. We are lucky in that the teacher is brilliant and really makes an effort to include lots of little extras in the class.
Maybe one of the times would suit better than another, depending on your DD's sleep pattern?

absolutely depends on the person running it. they are all so similar. I did jo jingles with dd1 and was great, did it with dd2 and was dire.

I haven't been to either but I have a friend who's taken both her DDs to Jo Jingles. They both loved it.

Do you have a Yogabugs near you? That involves music and movement and DS2 adored it.

Went to Jojingles when ds was younger and I got more out of it than he did, it was held in a rather crowded space and was very structured. DS is now a bit older and loves Kindermusik which has songs, activities, drama, homework but agree it's all down to the ppl who run it.

I really love Kindermusik. The music isn't too cheesy - there's a good variety of different kinds of music.

It's really well structured, a good mixture of still activities and movement, and also I'm not made to feel stressed out if DD isn't doing everything the same way as the other children.

Would the teachers of the classes in your area let you try out a class to see what you think so you can compare and contrast?

niether - waste of time an dmoney imo

lucysnowe · 14/06/2008 11:32

Thanks for your replies! I will contact both and see if I can go to sample classes. But maybe Jo Jingles is best for a younger baby? Don't think there's a yogabugs around although there is baby yoga.

Kindermusik classes work well for young babies too. They are suitable for newborn up I believe.

DD is only nine weeks so that is def doable! Thanks!
