Dh and I have decided to draw up a list of rules, partly so we parent the children consistantly. kids are 3 and 5.
What are your 'house rules' and how are they implemented?

Ok, I'll tell you what we have come up with.

I will help Mummy and Daddy and help each other

I will wash my hands before mealtimes

I will talk quietly at mealtimes - only conversation

I will be a kind person, not angry

I will say please and thank you and ask for things politely

No making loud noises when ds is asleep.

No disturbing mummy when she is on the computer.

Everything else is fine

No food outside the kitchen, because it saves on cleaning.

I think the REALLY important thing about house rules is that they should apply equally to everyone. Otherwise they aren't house rules, they are behaviour policies.
