2.11 yeast offer old Toddler having multiple regressions at once

Hi all, my little one recently had a growth spurt and is eating very little and no proper meals since then, but it's been two months of not eating much so a bit worrying. She's not losing weight and seems healthy. She also potty trained well, but about a month ago started having accidents again. She's also being very emotional and clingy and wants a lot of cuddles from me and sometimes wants me to hold her drinker for her to feed her milk like a baby. I'm fine with all this as I know it will pass. Everything except the food refusal started around the time I started having to work from the office 4 days a week, I worked from home for 6 months previously, could it be the cause of some of this? She's largely been raised at home as the Welsh government don't offer free childcare until age 3 so she gets more nursery from January. She's got 7 hours nursery a week at present through flying start as she was slightly speech delayed. I don't think she is technically speech delayed any more but is at the bottom end of the pass rate for ages and stages when it comes to verbal communication, so communication is still a bit of a challenge although constantly improving and no referrals have been needed. Thanks for any advice or reassurance!

I’ve not experienced my DC behaving like this during a growth spurt @teaandkittehsand I’ve not seen family or friends DC do it either. Are you sure it’s a growth spurt causing this regression?

You say she has 7 free hours a week at Nursery. Who is looking after her the rest of the time?

How is she in your days off? Do you take her to any groups and how does she behave there?

If she’s eating very little, ciukd it be too much milk? How much milk is she having and which kind? Is she night weaned?

It’s good that you say she has caught up on her speech. Has she had a hearing test or any SaLT? Is she bilingual? And how does she score in the communication section of the 3 year Ages & Stages?

Hi there, I didn't say it was the growth spurt causing the regression - just that she's eating less post-growth spurt. She's done that before and so have plenty of my pals kids so I think that's causing the food refusal, watt as I said its been going on for weeks which is longer than before. I said all the other stuff has started since I went back to the office so am wondering if that's causing her behavioural changes and potty training regression.
When she's not in nursery she is looked after by me, my husband, and every Monday she goes to her grandma's house who happens to be a childminder. She eats fine at her grandma's and is not emotional at her grandma's or nursery.
On my days off I take her to soft play, baby gymnastics, and role play places, or the park, or we do family walks. About two months ago she started getting more whingey at the places I take her two except for her favourite one, and the emotional stuffed is worse if I take her to a new soft play or role play place. She plays fine for a while and then starts to get upset especially in the new places, so I'm sticking to her favourites at present. Since potty training she's refused to use public or nursery toilets but has had a very good success rate at home, no accidents at all for a month but then a few little partial wees in her pants and one poo in her pants over the past few weeks, always when she is busy playing. It's lucky I guess that you don't know anyone who has had a similar experience as my little ones grandma's is a childminder and she said this stuff happens all the time! But it's still scary to see my little lady going through a tough time.

Also her milk intake is restricted to the recommended amount since I received about iron deficiency in her age group. And she has a great time at her favourite soft play, but can at times miserable and whingey at her non favourites.

I think the recommendations on milk has changed in the last few months? There is no longer a recommended minimum amount of milk after 2 years, although obviously you’d have to keep an eye on her calcium intake Smile

Have you managed to look at the assesssment I linked to yet?

She's already been assessed by nursery and they have no concerns, she excels at physical stuff but as I said in my original post she just passes the communication stuff.
