Help... dd (6.5) started bed wetting and soiling herself... assuming it's stress but not sure how to deal with it...

Not sure how to handle the current situation... dd has been dry/clean for ages given she's 6.5 now.

However since our move to Australia (a whopping 11 days ago) she's wet the bet twice and today she actually soiled herself whilst we were out on the playground (after just having been to the toilet about 15 mins earlier).

I have to admit I did get a bit cross and felt awful for it afterwards but then again, there I was in the middle of god knows where with nothing to clean her up with and no spare clothes, waiting for dh to finish off his interview and meet us...

Any pearls of wisdom how I should/can handle her 'problem', which I assume is due to all the big changes and her just not being quite herself?

I don't suppose it could just be a stomach upset due to change in water or diet, something new she's eaten in abundance?? Was she loose??

Regardless i would try and play it down as much as poss as any attention on this kind of thing tends to make the problem bigger and can lead to control issues.

Couldn't be that with all the changes she is trying to issue some control over the few things she controls herself, bizarre as it may seem to us but you know kids...

Good luck , hope it proves to be a short lived upset.

thanks minkersmum. Bowls weren't too loose but I think she just is too excited with everything else and doesn't listen to her body's signals. The bed wetting I think was because she was too deeply asleep. It's just very frustrating as our 3 year old has no problems getting up at night to go to the toilet, be it noisily so we're up anyhow LOL. And I know every kid is different
