too big for the buggy but too young to go completely without...

DD is 2y1m and big and heavy for her age (weighs 2stone 4) the buggy I am using is a Micralite which I have found invaluable as I have a 3yo as well so I need to be able to push one handed easily and as I don't drive an easy to fold buggy is necessary.

Unfortunately dd has taken to standing up in buggy and makes it tip over v dangerous. I am 20weeks pregnant and really don't want to drag out the big heavy urban detour pram in the shed, and so I am not sure what to do.

She is not rady to be without pushchair entirely and i would like to keep micralite for dc 3 in October (will get carrycot to fit on chassis).

What could I get cheap on ebay that would contain dd but isn't the size of a small car!!

I've got a Maclaren triumph, not that easy to steer one handed as it has two seperate handles, but I manage it ok, I bought mine for £60 in a shop so you'll probably find cheaper online, its lasted well, been using it for 2 1/2 years, dd only goes in it when I'm shopping now, and she's just turned 3, is 2stone8lb and 97cm tall, she's a little big for it, but I only use it occasionally now, I do strap her in if she does silly things like standing up too!

Thank you LittleB - I haven't used a Maclaren how are they to steer on rougher terrain? I have to go off road and the pavements round here are dreadful.

THey's be tricky to steer one handed on rough terrain, but ok with two hands, I take mine on bumpy paths with both hands, but wouldn't do it one handed. Hope that helps.
