Our little boy is rolling on either side and now rolling himself on to his front and trying to pull himself up he’s 4 months old but I’m nervous as he’s not able to roll fully and keep getting scared as he’s loving rolling but kicks off when he can’t roll around the way he wants and we keep catching him sticking himself on his side in the crib how can I teach him to properly roll or give him help

Its waaaay too early to worry about him rolling both ways!

Ah, okay. With regards to the crib as long as you put him to sleep on his back as advised there isn't much you can do, he will figure it out. Is he in a next2me with mesh sides?

Trying to push up when he's on his front isn't an issue x

You'll be ok! How wonderful he’s trying :D My DS has been the same. I think he was 4 months when he learned to roll onto his front and then I was terrified he’d do so at night and get stuck on his face as he couldn’t roll himself back. However, this only happened once and it immediately woke both myself and my partner + DS had already turned his head to the side, so I imagine he would have been safe even if we hadn’t woken right away. In any case, that night roll was probably because we patted his side during a night stir and in tiredness didn’t ensure he was fully on his back again. As above poster has said, always ensure you’re putting them to sleep on their backs.

DS is 24 weeks today and just rolled from his front onto his back for the first time… he’s been pushing up and kicking about and protesting his inability for months now but he’s been safe! I’m sure your little one will be the same. Just watch over him, let him try, and don’t worry about the frustrated noises while he tries to build strength (think about the noises people make in the gym lol!) unless they turn to proper distressed crying.

Best of luck to your little bean on his movement journey!

Thank you both means a lot he’s in a next to me with both sides with mesh and just as a first time mum was a tad worried we put him down on his back and when he wakes up will let him move about but do put him on his back he’s having more of a little roll he’s doing better today been letting him roll on the bed so has more of a easy way to roll and means a lot for the advice
