Sleep regression at 16 weeks. Was sleeping 5 hour stints

Morning, I was hoping for some advice / reassurance please.

My daughter is 16 weeks old and has always been a relatively big girl. Born 8lb 6oz and currently on the 75th percentile. I EBF. Up until 5 days ago sleep was gradually improving with 5 hours (on one occasion 7 hour) sleep periods overnight. Now we have reverted back to waking every 2- 3 hours. My wife and friends have suggested that she must be hungry and that she needs some baby rice and porridge. I am reluctant and hope it is just a phase and hope it is a short sleep regression.

Has anyone else experienced similar and how did they work through it?

Thanks

Just to add, we have a 2 year old daughter. We are a same set couple, my wife carried the first and did the majority of the night feeds. She was a good sleeper from early on and was sleeping through from 3 months.

At 4 months babies go through a sleep “regression” as there are huge developmental changes in the way they sleep. As long as you have good sleep habits in place then you should be fine. My little one never slept well after this point though so we got the help of a lovely sleep consultant and sorted everything out really quickly with her help.
