my 15 yr old came home stoned and drunk on saturday - and 3 hours late - came in at 9pm.

if i took him to the police am sure they would just turn me away for wasting their time

i phoned connections in the past - their advice was " teenagers do these things"

i even phoned the priest - who said the same as connections

is there any agency at all out there who will take this any more seriously - why isnt any one taking this seriously?

Glad you have found some support out there Custardo, I think often it's the parents who need the support so that they can support their children (and one problem is that society more or less treats 15 year olds as adults on the grounds that they soon will be). If your son's school finds out about any drug taking they could expel him instantly - so I would be a bit careful who I talked to about this. Hope he soon gets bored with the whole thing.

your right social services dont want to know once a child hits 14 unless they are abused or abandoned
