My 27 months old eats in a day ( example )
Breakfast: milk , yogurt and butter and jam toast
Snack pear and two sausages plus bread ( I know so random )
Lunch : small ham sandwich and few bites of carrots
Snack : half of banana
Dinner : bolognese pasta with courgettes
What I think it is nutritious for her, She eats
- pasta pesto
- Homemade bolognese
- Courgette , spinach and cauliflower if disguised
- Pasta with tuna or chickpeas
- Carrots and sometimes tomatoes
- Banana
- Burger sandwich
- Pasta with tomato and ricotta
- Egg rice noodles with broccoli and nuts
- Chicken tikka rice with peas
The reason I ask if this is picky eating it is because lately she turns her nose up when it comes to trying new food . She just licks it and says “ no I don’t want it “ . She has started pocketing some food ( she has always had a high palate and that’s where the food goes ) . I am absolutely devastated as she is possibly psd and no one of the health care providers want to refer her because she can eat normally and can speak in 3/4 word sentence with spontaneous language . So , for us , no OT or feeding therapy unless going private . I have tried HV , GP , private paediatrician.
She only pockets certain food like salmon or certain pasta .
I guess I have come here in the hope of finding some reassurance with this or a parent in a similar situation who can tell me it will pass .
