My 8YO won't eat after chocking

So my 8YO mildly chocked last week, it wasn't even a proper chock, just. A little food got stuck, he's anxious child anyway when it comes to health,

A few days later my husband chocked on a bit of garnish on his roast dinner at a pub, quite badly but not horrific,

This last week I hadn't noticed till today along with other family members he hadn't eaten pretty much all week, he isn't. A big eater anyway but hadn't really noticed, Till today where he hasn't eaten all day, and we tried to give him tea, it all came out he had been binning cereal in the morning, he admitted to do it and then had a meltdown crying saying he can't eat solids at all and feels awful for wasting food, it came out from the chocking incidents,

I am so upset I've tried to keep really calm, give him some water and said " look you just swallowed" etc, he's tired anyway and worked out, I'm hoping now he's shared his fears maybe tomorrow will be a new day ?

However I'm worrried where this problem will go, how to sort it and move forward

Please please help anyone

One very sad upset mama

Is he drinking OP and do you know the signs of dehydration in DC?

Could you reassure him that whilst sometimes do choke, both times you’ve been able to help?
