Screen time when poorly..?

my daughter is 22 months and she does have limited screentime which is absolutely fine with us. During the week 30 mins-1hr max as she is in childcare however at the weekend it can be 1-2 hours across the day or less if we are out and about which is usually the case. She is poorly currently and all she keeps asking for is Peppa, so screen time is creeping up. She clearly has no energy to do anything else. We are also reading to her etc but I guess I’m just after a bit of a reassurance that more screen time when poorly is ok… 😥

I think ots pretty normal. I can remember having Measles at 4 and the tv being in most of the day as I dosed on the sofa.

Hope she feels better soon Flowers

Honestly I think it’s fine. My 4 and 2 year old have just got over a horrible horrible vomiting bug and I’ll be honest the tv was on alllllllll day long for 3/4 days. Literally all they done was lie on the couch cuddling watching tv and dozing on and off between being sick. They simply didn’t have the energy for anything else, same as when I’m sick all I want to do is lie down and at least watching the tv takes their mind off of how awful they feel. They’re both back to themselves now and running about playing as normal.

Agree with Mother I’m that I’ve used TV when I’ve been I’ll too.

DD had an awful virus at age 4. Only 7 out of 30 DC made it into her glass the day she started being ill. One of the DF’s list 3 stone through it.

DD was so poorly that she dosed on the sofa with the tv on, then I went down with it and had to use CBeebies as a baby sitter.
