Is this nature or nurture..?

Some boys seem to play with stuff without ever braking anything and without necessarily getting out all toys in the room within 5 minutes, while others are the opposite: braking lots of stuff, not on purpose, but just by playing roughly, concentrating on the same thing for 2 minutes tops etc.

What do you think; to what extent is this difference nature or nurture? How far does a parent's influence reach? I wonder about this a lot, especially seeing ds and his cousin play together (they are on opposite ends on this)..

probably more down to personality types and co-ordination I would think. So nature.

I'm a reasonably neat person, fathers of my DCs are slobs (in the nicest possible way! I just mean they don't notice mess), all 4 DCs are complete slobs. I've never had one of those quiet well-behaved children despite being quiet and well-behaved myself .

I think it's probably less to do with how the parents are themselves and more to do with how much the parents impose or insist upon their own standards. For example - I never prevented mine, early on, from getting loads of toys out at once and so can't really complain when they trash the place.
